I've tried all kinds of CO2 diffusers before, just sticking a tube of CO2 in my filter Eheim reception of ceramic disk diffusors in the tank for specialized powerhead "bubble-basher." All have some disadvantages, whether this is an incomplete diffusion, noise or there may be something ugly in the tank.
Diffuser this Waterplant is built-in Diffuser, however, so that it goes to the exit or entrance tube filter filter. The principle is the same as ceramic Diffuser, but should not clutter up the inside of your tank. Just pop the Diffuser and miniature CO2 bubbles are pushed through the ceramic cylinder in the cost of the water. There is nothing to clean up, nothing to replace it. Is effective, quiet and free of clutter. It is also plastic, so that there is no glass to accidentally, and to fit several dimensions.
I have mine on my exhaust pipes, only because I feel like putting it in the suction will likely lead to "burping" filter yet. Diffuser with intake screen, however, and is ready to be placed at the end of the filter dose directly into the tank.
There are some important things to remember with it though. One is absolutely must have the check valve installed in your line of Co2. Since ceramic Diffuser works both ways, water can be forced in the Diffuser and tube CO2 if you pressure gets low or closed for one night.
For $ 24 I am very happy, not having to fuss with suction cups, have ugly tubing in My tank or listening to my Filter "burp" all the time.
